At present the congregation does not have a formal mission partner but it has a growing connection with churches in Palestine.

St Matthews Episcopal Church – Zababdeh

During the General Assembly in May 2014, Balerno Parish Church was visited by Saleem Dawani, Priest in charge of St Matthews Episcopal Church in Zababdeh in the West Bank, and his wife Adma. After New Year, the Kirk Session will consider a formal twinning of Balerno and St Matthews, and in the mean time we are beginning to establish regular contacts between the churches with the aim of learning more about each other. Please have a look at the St Matthews Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/StMatthewsChurchZababdeh, where there is more information and many photographs of the St Matthews congregation. As you will see, there is tremendous participation by children and young people in St Matthews, and Chill@Church are taking the lead in building contacts by making a video about Balerno Parish Church and its community.
