The Jubilate Music Group was formed in 2012 by a group of music-lovers within the congregation who have a particular enthusiasm for contemporary music in worship.

The group now regularly accompanies songs during Sunday worship and occasionally performs solo numbers at family services and other special occasions. It enjoys a challenge and is building up a wide-ranging, if somewhat eclectic, repertoire. To date this has included modern Christian choruses and hymns, Fischy music songs, folk tunes, tv themes and the occasional 1970s rock classic.

The group is always delighted to welcome new singers and instrumentalists and can offer camaraderie, laughs, the occasional beer and a wide array of unusual percussion instruments. We arrange rehearsals ad hoc to fit around people’s availability, and so membership involves minimal time commitment. And, despite what the photo below may suggest, costumes are not compulsory.
