Fantastic evening with Broxburn and Livingston Brass Band on Saturday 3 December at Balerno Parish Church back after two years Covid absence, for their 11th ‘Concert for Christmas’. The packed house gave them a resounding reception for a fabulous programme including audience participation singing carols as well as both rocking to Scbneewalzer and cracking whips to Sleigh Ride and also jingling keys to Jingle Bells. The Band’s performance of its competition winning pieces including the elegaic Ardross Castle and haunting Demelza provided the perfect precursors for the rumbustious Finale from Gaelforce.
If you weren’t there then remember to get a ticket fo next year, because the Band will certainly be back; and it’s a fair bet that the audience will be as well.
