The congregation and its members are pleased to be able to use its facilities and their talents to help others in a number of ways. Many of these activities involve members of the community who are not church members but who share in the commitment to help change things for the better.

Louise Duncan Memorial Bursary
The Louise Duncan Memorial Bursary was established in 2015 to commemorate the life and work of Reverend Louise Duncan, our Minister from 2010 to 2015. Each year, a Bursary of £500 will be awarded to a person under the age of 25, living in Balerno or adjoining areas, to help them to meet the cost of travel out with Scotland to take part in voluntary work for the benefit of disadvantaged communities. Palm Cafe
The Palm Cafe started in 2013 with the aim of providing a place for those with dementia and their carers to share. It has grown and broadened into Dementia Friendly Pentlands. Click for more information.
