‘Working to end Homelessness’
The Balerno Fresh Start team is delighted to report that a collection will take place in The Old Hall on Friday 24th & Sat 25th April 2026 between 10.00am and 12 midday.
Fresh Start (Edinburgh) supports the resettlement, in the community, of people who have been homeless. It provides a means by which all of the churches in Edinburgh can work together and allows congregations and individuals the opportunity to do something practical to help people, who have been homeless, to make a new start.
Twice a year, circa April and September, Balerno Parish Church has a collection for Fresh Start. This is an excellent opportunity to pass on household goods that are surplus to requirements but still in good condition. These goods will be used to help those who are homeless to make a Fresh Start.
Everything you give is most gratefully received, both by Fresh Start and by the homeless people who are trying to make a Fresh Start.
