This is Christian Aid Week (10th-16th May); there will be envelopes available at the church services on Sundays 10th & 17th. The envelopes can be to taken home and filled up (and fill out the Gift Aid slip if that applies to you) to return the following Sunday or filled up on the day and handed in on your way out.

This year’s focus is on urban poverty…urban farmers can grow hope. In the crowded and bustling settlements of Nairobi, most parents wake every single day knowing that they must go and earn money, otherwise their children won’t eat that evening. It is a precarious and frightening daily struggle that no family should have to face. But with tools and training from our partner, Beacon of Hope, parents are farming vegetables in small city plots to feed their families and earn an income.
