PEOPLE IN ISOLATION
DAVID
No-one knows when – or even for certain, if – David wrote this most famous of Psalms. Throughout his life, David lived in isolation of so many different kinds. Isolated from his family, his friends and his people often due in part to circumstances of his own making. If anyone knew a lonely path through life, it was David. And yet, with all the troubles and faults of his life, he was still a man who sought God – and who always found him there: ready, willing and able to accompany him on his journey through life. God never abandons us, no matter how lonely our path is and how difficult the journey may become. He will always choose to walk with us, to protect us and care for us. Do we choose to meet him on the road we are travelling on now and do we invite him to join us as we journey on?

Psalm 23:4
Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I fear no evil; for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.
Prayer
Shepherd God help me to trust in you at this time. Help me to know your presence close by my side as you walk with me through hard times. Guide me to your rich table of love, blessing and care. Remind me that I need have no fear for you are with me and shall be with me no matter where my path lay lead for all my days until your goodness leads me home. Amen
